Let’s talk about Friendsgiving…

Hi Reader,

If you’re hosting Friendsgiving this year, chance are you’re up to your eyeballs in planning already. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, I wrote a guide that might help.

And if you’re attending Friendsgiving this year, this guide might be of assistance to you, too. Or maybe you just want to check out the Friendsgiving Food Ideas I shared last week.

Either way, Friendsgiving is one of these new(ish) holidays that’s an absolute blast because it combines food, friends and holiday cheer.

Why we love Friendsgiving:

  • It’s a fun way to celebrate the holidays with friends without needing to be together for the actual holidays.
  • Everyone contributes—and gets to bring a delicious dish that means something to them. (So if you’re hosting, you’re not stuck in the kitchen cooking all the things.)
  • Pro tip: Order a turkey or your holiday protein from a local restaurant or grocery. That way, nobody has to roast one! (If you’re doing this, consider ordering it ASAP because those vendors need time to prepare it.)

Basically: if you’re hosting Friendsgiving, you can make this event however you like it to make it work for you!

Just go into it with the understanding that this is supposed to be fun—for your guests AND you.

Are you hosting or attending a Friendsgiving event this year?

It makes me so happy when you make my recipes and follow my guides! If you this guide helps you, reply to this email, or snap a photo and tag me (@speckledpalate) on Instagram!

Happy Friendsgiving,
Erin
