The Invisible Mentor Weekly Newsletter: Brain Food Wednesdays Number 108: Man and Machine Working Together
Dear Reader,
Have you incorporated artificial intelligence (AI) into your workflow to become more productive?
I’ve been experimenting with AI applications. But what I’ve discovered is that they work best with human help. I’ve been using Rytr (referral link) and AISEO (referral link) for writing. Sometimes the output makes no sense, so you have to delete sections, write something, then get the AI app to continue writing. The articles that turned out the best are the ones where I wrote sections. When I use the AI writing software, I end up writing faster. You have to play around with the software to figure out how to use it effectively. I wasted a lot of my credits doing this, but that’s okay.
I have a couple of articles that AI software wrote. But I have to clean them up and personalize them. The information that I’d like to add, the software doesn’t have access to that information because it’s in a book that I wrote years ago. Some of these AI writing software programs are very good, but I’m not convinced that AI is going to replace humans anytime soon.
The other AI application that I use a lot is to transcribe interviews. The transcription is not perfect, so I have to do some cleaning up before I can publish the interviews. The amount of cleaning up often depends on the kind of accent that the people have.
I use Publer (referral link) to schedule my social media posts, and I love it. However, I also started to use FeedHive because it generates hashtags based on my status updates. Choosing hashtags is something that I’ve always struggled with. This is a big time saving for me. I’d love the hashtag to become more sophisticated though. I think that will happen in time.
The membership fee for the Art of Learning is low right now as I build out the content, and as I identify more benefits to add to support your success. Gift yourself a membership. You’re worth it.
In the ASK AVIL section, I’ll explore more deeply how AI and humans working together can help you to become more productive. I’d also like to invite you to join my Facebook group. This year, there will be a lot of activities happening in the group.

Man and Machine Working Together
No one can escape artificial intelligence because it has impacted every industry. Therefore, you have to find ways to integrate it into your workflow to increase productivity. As I mentioned previously, when I use AI in my business, the results are better when I’m involved, not counting entirely on the application to do all the work for me. So, I use FeedHive as one of my social media schedulers.
If you’re unsure of what to post, the AI app has an inspire me section. This gets your creative juices flowing. When you choose one of the prompts, you have to customize it so it makes sense for you. Another thing I like about FeedHive, Is that right there when you’re creating your posts, you can also see the best times to post to social media. This is a powerful AI app that can save you lots of time. And it will get better over time.
What are some tasks that take you a long time to complete? Or what are some repetitive tasks that you don’t enjoy doing? More than likely, there are AI apps that can speed up those tasks and make you more productive. I’m sure that you would welcome saving time every day.
How do you find out about AI applications that can help you with your workflow?
Friends and colleagues mentioned them to me. But at least once a week, I go to AppSumo to see what lifetime deals are on offer. I spend some time there reviewing the most popular products to determine if and how they can help my workflow. I’ve found a lot of great deals that make my life easier. Don’t reject artificial intelligence out of fear. Embrace it and use it to make you more productive.
Reading List
I just started to read nonfiction books again, so, in no time, I’ll be making a dent in the list. Because I gave myself some time off, I feel a lot more relaxed, which is a very good thing. I no longer feel like I have to perform because people are watching.
