How I’d get clients starting from zero!

This week I did a little thought experiment. I challenged myself to think about what I would do to get clients if I was starting from zero!
โ€‹
I go through a 5 step method that you can use to get clients if you’re already freelance or just starting out.

Motion Designers think they have an awareness problem.
โ€‹
But the bigger problem is converting leads that are already aware of them into clients.
โ€‹
So how do you do it?

You use the Freelance Funnel Framework. I teach this in module 3 of my course Client Quest.โ€‹

โ€‹

Imagine you’re the spaceman (haha!) you’re trying to draw your clients in your solar system towards you.

At the top of the funnel we have the Awareness stage. This is where most motion designers concentrate their efforts.
โ€‹
It’s actually reasonably easy to make client’s aware of you. If you’re stuck on this part check out this week’s video. โ€‹

The hard part comes when you need to go from making clients aware of you to actually getting projects from them.

The Freelance Funnel Framework helps you to do this.
โ€‹
By concentrating on drawing them through the funnel – from awareness into attraction and then action (getting the job).
โ€‹
You would not only to focused on attracting the leads but also turning them into paying clients.
โ€‹
To see this system in action in a CRM check out my latest video. โ€‹
โ€‹
I recommend adding these different stages to your CRM and have at least 10 clients in each stage:

Awareness: Make your potential clients aware of you.
โ€‹Attraction: When you have started a conversation with them but they aren’t yet a client.
โ€‹Action: They become a client.
โ€‹Advocacy: Turning your current clients into advocates or fans to help you get more work.
โ€‹
My course Client Quest takes you through each stage of the funnel and helps you to build your own system around it so you can get clients consistently and not have you worry about where your next project is coming from.

If you have any questions about Client Quest just reply to this email. I will get right back to you.

I’m sure many of you know but Ben teaches After Effects on his YouTube Channel. He previously launched his course Master Motion Design and it was a huge success.
โ€‹
Motion Foundation is going to be amazing too! So make sure you don’t miss out. (This isn’t sponsored I just wanted to let you know about Ben’s course :))

Thanks

Hayley
