🗝️ Keyword Discrepancies!

Last week, I shared my thoughts on generative AI and how it could affect the SERP results and our rankings. If you missed that email, you can catch it HERE.

Today I wanted to discuss something that has been on my mind for a while now…keyword discrepancies.

You know…those posts that are ranking in a #1 position but are still not getting close to the amount of traffic you thought it would (when you were researching it) Kinda like this post I talk about here…

It’s SO frustrating and something I’d love to look into more.

Do you have a post like this one that you thought was going to kill it but just isn’t bringing much to the table? If so, I’d love for you to reply back! I am looking for posts that are:

• ranking in a #1 spot (main position) for your target keyword (not in an image pack)
• NOT bringing close to the amount of visits you expected based off of the number reflected in Keysearch

To find this number, go into your GA and click:

All Traffic > Source/Medium > Secondary Dimension (Drop Down Menu) > Destination Page > Click on “Advanced” next to the search bar at the top right > Type in the kw from your post in the “containing” bar (to filter the posts out) and click “apply”.

**Make sure you set your calendar to 30 days. (Seasonal posts are a bit more unique)
