๐จ Opinion Alert: It’s OK to ignore the “pro tips”
Hey Reader,
โ
Summer travel season is in FULL SWING. In fact, just a few days ago (on July 7) in the U.S. we set a record for the number of people who went through airport security in a single day…more than 3 million! Oof. I am glad I was not at the airport that day. ๐ฌ
โ
Of course, anytime something like this record-setting day pops in the news, all the “travel pros” come out of the woodwork with their “pro tips.”
โ
โ
BUT sometimes they can give off attitudes, if you know what I mean. General attitudes of there are right ways to travel and wrong ways to travel, and if you were as good at travel as I am then you wouldn’t be stuck in the regular TSA line with the riff-raff, you’d be in the TSA Precheck line with all the other pros.
โ
Advising that people get TSA Precheck if they can is a perfectly valid tip. What I take issue with is the general air of superiority that some of the pros and influencers have.
โ
So, I wrote this short opinion post about why it’s okay to travel like a beginner and ignore the “pro tips.”โ
โ
Travel is not a competition. The key is to find what works best for you and what makes you happiest. There is no right or wrong way to travel, as long as you are experiencing the world in a way that brings you joy.
